A couple of weeks ago, we discussed stress eating.

Stress eating typically presents with specific cravings. Most of use don't stress eat carrots or broccoli... Common stress eating foods are sweets (i.e. cookies, candy, chocolate) or salty foods (i.e. chips, popcorn)


One of the best ways to prevent these cravings from getting out of hand is to have reasonable alternatives on hand. I wanted to share some of my favorites with you!


SALTY

|| CHIPS AND SALSA ||


If you’re missing tortilla chips, you're going to love this one!

How to make:

• Cut 1 HEB Carb Sense tortilla into 8th (4 net carbs)

• Spray with Olive Oil Pam

• Top with sea salt

• Bake at 350 degrees until crisp and golden (I flipped them half way through)


Pair with your favorite salsa, guacamole or dip for a satisfying snack or side dish.





SWEET

|| BETTER THAN STARBUCKS ||


I have never loved a low carb food/drink more than this!

Whipped Coffee Recipe

• Mix 2 Tbsp instant coffee, 1 Tbsp Swerve (or similar sweetener), 1 Tbsp SF Vanilla Torani and 2 Tbsp hot water

• Using a hand mixer (or a shaker bottle -which I did) mix together until whipped.

• In a separate cup add ice, 4 oz Mootopia or Fairlife milk (can be done with almond milk as well) 2 oz heavy cream

• Top with whipped coffee and SF whipped cream


I don’t need another Starbucks Frappuccino. EVER.
